Educational Qualifications
Mining Sardar
- Matric/10th Pass with valid Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS for Coal and valid First Aid Certificate issued by St. Johns Ambulance Association.
- Experience : Minimum one year of post qualification working experience in open cast coal mine.
Mining Overman
- Diploma in Mining Engineering from recognized Institute of repute with Overman Certificate of Competency under CMR issued by DGMS for coal. Valid First Aid Certificate issued by St. Johns Ambulance Association.
- Experience : With Minimum 05 years of post-qualification working experience in open cast Coal Mines.
Upper Age Limit
Upper Age Limit for Mining Sardar & Mining Overman for NTPC Recruitment 2022 is :
- Mining Sardar - 57 Years
- Mining Overman - 57 Years
Salary / Pay Scale
- Mining Sirdar: Consolidated fixed monthly pay of Rs. 40,000/-
- Mining Overman: Consolidated fixed monthly pay of Rs. 50,000/-
Period of Engagement
- Fixed Term Basis for a period of 3 years or completion of 60 years of age.

Selection Process
- The mode of selection for eligible applicants for both the above posts will be Written Test and Skill Test. The eligible candidates as per age, qualification, experience etc. will be called for the Written Test. The Call letters/Admit Cards will be sent to the eligible candidates through email. NTPC will not be responsible for any loss of email sent due to invalid/wrong email id provided by the candidate.
- The candidate, who qualify in the Written Test will undergo a Skill Test, which will be qualifying in nature. The qualifying candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:3 based on merit of the Written Test. However, final selection will be based on marks obtained in the Written Test only.
