Educational Qualifications for Coast Guard AC 01/2023 Notification
General Duty (GD)
- Should hold a degree of recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks..
- Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
Commercial Pilot License (SSA)
- should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects and should have scored minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects (ie. Physics 55% & Mathematics 55%). The candidates who have completed diploma are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
- Should possess current Commercial Pilot License issued validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application.
Technical (Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics)
- Candidate Should have an Engineering Degree in Naval Architecture / Mechanical / Marine or Automotive / Mechatronics / Industrial and Production / Metallurgy / Design of Aeronautical / Aerospace / Electrical / Electronics Telecommunication / Instrumentation/ Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Communication / Power Engineering / Power Electronics from recognized university / Institute.
- Mathematics and Physics as subject intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 education or equivalent with minimum 5 each subject. The candidates who have graduation after diploma, are also eligible they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in curriculum.

- Applications will be accepted only 'Online' tentatively from 16/02/2022 to 26/02/2022 upto 17:00 hrs for the above said posts.
- To fill up "online" application the candidates need to logon to the Website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.inand click on "opportunities button. Read the instruction carefully and proceed for filling up application form as given below:
- Select the advertisement for Recruitment of Assistant Commandant 02/2022 Batch.
Select any one post to be applied from any one of the followings:
- Asst Commandant General Duty.
- Asst Commandant Commercial Pilot License(CPL-SSA) -Male/Female
- Asst Commandant (Mechanical & Electrical & Electronics)
- Click on the 'I Agree' button and the 'Online Application' will be displayed.
- Activate Windows - Proceed to fill the application (All Star (*) marked entries are compulsory and to be filled).
- Upload Documents & Photography and Signature in Describe Size given in Official Notification.
- On successful submission of the online application unique a Application/Registration number will be provided to the candidate.

Selection Process for Coast Guard AC 01/2023 Notification
- Short listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and the qualifying cut off for a particular branch or center may be increased more than 60% if more applications with higher % are received.
- Final Selection The candidates who qualify Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection.
- The date and venue for Final Selection Board (FSB) will be uploaded on Indian Coast Guard website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in.
- The Final Selection will consist of Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test).
- All documents/ certificates verified during PSB are also required to be produced in originals during FSB.
